Joey: Your folks[family] are really that bad, huh?
Ross: Well, you know, these people are pros. They know what they're doing. They take their time. They get the job done.
Monica: Boy, I know they say that "You can't change your parents". Boy, if you could,... I'd want yours.
Ross: Must pee.

Phoebe: You know, it's even worse when you're twins.
Rachel: You're twins?
Phoebe: Yeah. We don't speak. She's like, this, high-powered, driven, career type.
Chandler: What does she do?
Phoebe: She's a waitress.

Rachel: All right, you guys, I kind of gotta clean up now.
Monica: Chandler, you're an only child, right? You don't have any of this.
Chandler: Well, no. Although I did have an imaginary friend, who... my parents actually preferred.
Rachel: The lights, please.

Ross: How long was I in there?
Rachel: I'm just cleaning up.
Ross: Oh. Do you, uh... Do you need any help?
Rachel: Um... Okay, sure. Thanks.
Ross: Anyway. Uh... So, you, uh, you nervous about Barry tomorrow?
Rachel: Oh... A little... A lot. So, got any advice? You know, as someone who's recently been dumped?
Ross: Well, you may wannna steer clear of[keep away from] the word, "dumped". "steer"는 운전대를 잡고 운전을 하는 모습을 연상시키는 동사에요 그래서, "steer clear of (something)"를 말그대로 보면, (something)을 피해서 운전을 해가라는 말이 됩니다. 실제로는, 그것보다 더 일반화해서 쓰이는 표현이에요!!! Chances are[It is likely that] he's gonna be this... this broken shell of a man, you know? "shell of a man"이라는 표현은, 말그대로 보면, "껍데기만 남은 인간"정도가 되는데요. "겉모습만 사람으로 보이는 거지, 속은 다 타버릴 만한 충격을 받은 사람" 또는 "감정적인 요소가 완전히 지쳐버린 사람" 정도의 느낌을 주는 표현이에요. Ross는 "broken shell of a man"이라고 함으로써, 겉과 속이 다 박살나버린 상태일꺼라는 말이 하고 싶었던 거죠. So, you should try not to look too terrific. I know it'll be hard. Or, you know, I can, uh, hey!, I'll go down there. And I'll give Barry back his ring. And you can go with Carol and Susan to the OB/GYN...[obstetrician-gynecologist] "obstetrician"은 childbirth를 다루는 의사이구요. "gynecologist"는 그 외의 health of the female reproductive system을 다루는 의사를 말합니다. 합쳐서, 우리나라도, 산부인과라고 하죠!!! 
Rachel: Oh, you've got Carol tomorrow! "have got"은 그냥 [have]를 의미해요. 여기서 have를 때고 "got"만 쓰기도 합니다 Uh... When did it get so complicated?
Ross: Got me. "You got me"는 다양한 문맥에서 다양하게 쓰일 수 있어요. 다만, 여기서 쓰인 "You got me"는 상대방이 내가 답을 모르는 어려운 질문을 했을 때 쓰는 표현입니다.
Rachel: Remember when we were in high school together?
Ross: Yeah.
Rachel: I mean, didn't you think you were just gonna meet somone, fall in love, and that'd be it? ...Ross?
Ross: Yes, yes.
Rachel: Oh! Man... I never thought I'd be here.
Ross: Me neither.

Ross: Hi... Oh, sorry I'm late. I got stuck at work. There was this big dinosaur... thing... Anyway.
Susan: Hi.
Carol: Ross, you remember Susan?
Ross: How could I forget?
Susan: Ross.
Ross: Hello, Susan. Good shake, good shake. So, uh, we're just waiting for...?
Carol: Dr. Oberman.
Ross: Dr. Oberman. Okay. And is he...
Susan: She.
Ross: ...She, of course, she. She, uh... familiar with our special... situation?
Carol: Yes. And she's very supportive.
Ross: Great. Okay. That`s great. ...No, I'm, oh...
Carol: Thanks.

Ross: Quack, quack. Quack, quack.
Carol: Ross... That opens my cervix.

Rachel: Barry?
Barry: Come on in.
Rachel: Are you sure?
Barry: It's fine, it's fine. Robbie's gonna be here for hours.
Robbie: Huh?
Barry: So. How you doin`?
Rachel: I'm... I'm... I`m okay! You look great!
Barry: Yeah, well.
Bernice: Dr. Farber, Jason Greenstein's gagging. 여기서, "gag"는 "헛구역질하다" 정도의 의미에요. "puke", "vomit", "throw up"은 구토를 한다는 표현이잖아요?! "gag"는 메스꺼움때문에 뭔가 올라오기는 하는데, 결국은 뱉는 건 없을 때 쓰는 말이에요.
Barry: Be right there. Be back in a second.

Rachel: I dumped[stop dating when the partner still wants to stay together] him.
Robbie: Okay.

Ross: So, um. So, how's this, uh... How's this gonna work? You know, with us? You know, when, like, important decisions have to be made?
Carol: Give me a "for instance".
Ross: Well, I... I don't know... Okay, okay! How about with the, uh, the baby's name?
Carol: Marlon!
Ross: Marlon?
Carol: If it's a boy. Minnie if it's a girl!
Ross: As in Mouse?
Carol: As in my grandmother.
Ross: Still, you... you say Minnie, you hear Mouse. Um, how about, um... How about Julia?
Carol: Julia...
Susan: We agreed on Minnie.
Ross: It`s funny. Um, uh, we agreed we'd spend the rest of our lives together. Things change. Roll with the punches[deal with difficult situations]. 복싱 선수가 펀치를 완전히 피하지는 못하더라도, 자세를 잘 취해서, 덜 아프게 맞는 장면을 연상시키는 표현입니다. 여기서는, Susan은 아이의 이름을 Minnie로 하기를 원하는데 Ross는 반대를 하는 갈등의 상황에서, Ross가 Susan에게, "전부 네 마음대로 할 수는 없잖아? 아프겠지만, 네가 이 상황을 좀 견뎌라" 정도의 말을 하고있는 거에요 I believe Julia's on the table[on the list for discussion]?

Barry: Oh, I, uh... I went to Aruba.
Rachel: Oh, no. You went on our honeymoon alone?

Robbie: Me?
Barry: No! I went with Mindy.
Rachel: Mindy? My maid of honor, Mindy?
Barry: Yeah, we`re... kind of a thing now.
Rachel: Oh! Well... You've got plugs! 여기서 plug는 "blockage"라는 의미가 있어요. 피부에 plug가 있다는 건, 기름이 모공을 막은 것을 말하는 거죠. 그래서, 그것 때문에 얼굴에 뭔가 난 걸 보고 plug라고 합니다

Barry: Be careful, be careful! They haven't quite taken yet.
Rachel: And you've got lenses! But you hate sticking your finger in your eye.
Barry: Not for her. Listen, I really wanted to thank you.
Rachel: Okay!
Barry: See, about a month ago, I wanted to hurt you. More than I've ever wanted to hurt anyone in my life. And I'm an orthodontist... You know, you were right? I mean, I thought we were happy... We weren't happy! But with Mindy... Now I'm happy! Spit.
Rachel: What?
Robbie: Me.
Rachel: Anyway, um. I guess... I guess this belongs to you. And thank you for giving it to me.
Barry: Well, thank you for giving it back.
Robbie: Hello?

Ross: Helen Geller? I don't think so.
Carol: Hello? It's not gonna be Helen Geller.
Ross: Thank you!
Carol: No, I mean it's not Geller.

Ross: Wha...what, it's gonna be Helen Willick?
Carol: No, actually, um... We talked about Helen Willick-Bunch.
Ross: Wait a minute. Wh...why is she in the title?
Susan: Because it's my baby, too.
Ross: Really? I don't remember you making any sperm.
Susan: Yeah. And we all know what a challenge that is!
Carol: All right, you two, stop it!
Ross: No, no, no! She gets a credit. Hey, I'm in there too.
Carol: Ross. You're not actually suggesting Helen Willick-Bunch-Geller? 'Cause I think that borders on[come very close to] child abuse.
Ross: Of course not! I'm... suggesting Geller-Willick-Bunch.
Susan: Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no! You see what he's doing? He knows no one's gonna say all those names. So they'll wind up calling her Geller. "wind up -ing"는 "end up -ing"와 의미는 같은데, 부정적인 결과에 도달할 때만 쓰여요 Then he gets his way. "get (one)`s way"는 [get what (one) wants]를 의미해요
Ross: My way? You...you think this is my way? Believe me, of all the ways I ever imagined this moment in my life being, this is not my way! You know what? This is too hard. I'm not... I can't do...

Dr. Oberman: Knock, knock! How are we today? Any nausea[feeling of disgust that precedes vomiting]?
All: A little. Just a little.
Dr. Oberman: Well, I was just wondering about the mother-to-be, but, um. Thanks for sharing. Uh, lie back.
Ross: You, uh. You know what, I'm gonna go. I don't... I don't think I can be involved in this particular family... Oh my God!
Susan: Look at that.
Carol: I know.

Ross: Well? Isn't that amazing?
Joey: What are we supposed to be seeing here?
Chandler: I don`t no, but... I think it's about to attack the Enterprise.
Phoebe: You know, if you tilt your head to the left and relax your eyes, it kind of looks like an old potato.
Ross: Then don't do that, alright? Monica. What do you think? Are you welling up[fill up to the point of overflowing]? "well up"이, 여기서는, 눈물이나 감동이 차오른다는 의미로 쓰였습니다
Monica: No.
Ross: You are. You're welling up.
Monica: I`m not!
Ross: You're gonna be an aunt.
Monica: Oh, shut up!

Rachel: Hi, Mindy! Hi, it`s...it's Rachel! Yeah, I'm fine. I...I saw Barry today. Oh, yeah, yeah he...he told me. No. No, it's okay. Really. It`s okay. I...I hope you two are very happy. I really do. Oh, oh, and Mind!, you know, if...if everything works out and you guys end up getting married and having kids and everything... I just hope they have his old hairline and your old nose. Okay! I know it was a cheap shot[unfair or unkind criticism]. But I feel so much better now.
